Our Impact

I am incredibly grateful for the support I've received from the Maria Pizzi Foundation's scholarship during my time as a sophomore at Boston College. This scholarship has been a game-changer for me in pursuing my college education. The financial burden of tuition and living expenses can be overwhelming, and this scholarship has eased that burden significantly as it has helped me with covering textbooks for example and other extra costs for my family. It has allowed me to focus on my studies of psychology and business without the constant worry of how to cover my educational expenses. Additionally, it has given me the freedom to explore extracurricular activities and take on internships that have enriched my college experience, as this year I am interning at a program called “Ascend” which is a program for first-year women through the Center for Student Formation where participants have an opportunity to meet new peers, engage in meaningful conversations about life at BC, and connect with upper-class women mentors. The Maria Pizzi Foundation's generosity has not only helped me financially but has also motivated me to excel academically. It's a reminder that there are organizations and individuals who believe in the power of education and are willing to invest in the future of students like me. I am inspired to work hard and make the most of this opportunity, knowing that I have the support of the foundation behind me. As I continue my college journey, I will always be thankful for the Maria Pizzi Foundation's scholarship. It has made a significant impact on my life and has brought me one step closer to achieving my academic and career goals.
